138th running of the Kentucky Derby

I had an opportunity to go to the Kentucky Derby over the weekend, and what an experience it was for sure. The weather was beyond perfect, and the crowd reflected it. A record crowd over over 160,000 people saw the close race that was the 2012 Derby. If you ever have the chance to go to Louisville and see the race at Churchill Downs, you must go.
I placed my first ever bet on a horse race, and the competition with your friends is a great experience. Everyone has a different feeling about who might win. Getting to see the horses being brought ointo the track was a great experience as well. Make a trip to the Bluegrass next year for the 139th running, you wont be disappointed!
