The dust has settled and the new pavement is down at Daytona International Speedway and we are just days away from Pre-Season Thunder 2011. That’s right boy’s and girl’s, NASCAR’s 2011 season is just a month away and we need to do some testing on the new surface. NASCAR Pre-Season Thunder kicks off Thursday January 20
th through Saturday January 22
nd on the track hosting the Great American Race, The Daytona 500. Every team will be testing on the new pavement to get a feel for how the car will handle for the Daytona 500. The
splitter has been replaced with a more rounded off valence and Goodyear will have the tire compound set for what they will be running at the Daytona 500. This should be a thrilling ride to see how the new pavement, tires and drivers come together. Hey, and we haven’t even got to Speedweeks yet!
Pre-Season Fan Fest at Daytona is the same day’s as testing, so this is your chance to meet last year’s winner of the Daytona 500 Jammie McMurray along with Dale Earnhardt Jr, Jeff Gordon, 5 Time Sprint Cup
Champion Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Busch, Joey Logano, Brad Keselowski and many more. The excitement of racing is starting to grow. The 2011 NASCAR season is just around the corner.
