Is Kasey Kahne giving up beer for and energy drink? Richard Petty Motorsports pulled the trigger this week and decided Kasey Kahne would no longer pilot the number 9 Budweiser Ford.
Aric Almirola will finish out the 2010 season starting at Martinsville. 
With 5 races to go, is this a good move for RPM? Can Kasey Kahne win a race in the number 83 Red Bull Toyota? I believe this is a great opportunity for Red Bull to get a start on their 1 year season with Kasey Kahne and see how he fits with his new team.
Don’t forget, in 2012 Kasey Kahne will replace Mark Martin in the number 5 Chevrolet 
at Hendrick Motor Sports. Are you confused?
Don’t worry, there’s more to this story. As it looks right now, Team Red Bull will field a car for Kasey Kahne (number to be decided on later), Scott Speed in the number 82 and Brian Vickers return to the Sprint Cup Series in the number 83 after dealing with medical issues most of this year.
One more thing…Kenny Francis, long time crew chief for the number 9 and Kasey Kahne will be joining Kasey next year at Team Red Bull as his crew chief. OK, I’ll stop here on this story…but hang in there Kasey Kahne fans because I’m sure there is more to come.
