Cheer, Cheer, for old Notre Dame

Well, the Irish have done it again. They got another sweetheart deal from someone involved with college sports. The BCS did it, and now the ACC. This deal is basically the exact same deal, we all hated, that they had with the Big East. They get the benefits of a conference in every sport...but football, again.
The ACC is just an improvement in competition. The Big East is dying, and hemorrhaging quality schools like most recently, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, and now ND. The Irish will duke it out with Va Tech, Florida State, and North Carolina instead of Rutgers, UConn, and South Florida..and will benefit from the change.
the root if it all comes from the concessions the ACC are allowing. The Big 10, which is the conference ND should be in, wasn't going to take their "no football" stance. The Big 10 won't play lap dog to ND like, obviously, the ACC will. The ACC gains big from the attention the Green and Gold receive, and the money won't be too be either. The conference is better with ND, no question.
But, it's our hate for ND that comes from concessions other people give them. If every conference would stand united, the boys from South Bend would have to join a football conference. Why should we hate them for what they are offered? What school wouldn't want the deal ND has with the ACC? If Ohio State could book 7 of their own games, per season, and have control sometimes over the venue, Buckeye fans would sing the praises, and say, "we've earned it."
