Did Rich Rod find his perfect spot?

It's hot. Its dry. It's nowhere near Morgantown, WV either. It's Tucson, Arizona, home to the University of Arizona Wildcats and their 1st year Head Coach Rich Rodriguez. He came to the desert after a 1 year separation from coaching at the University of Michigan, a place he was never accepted.

At Arizona, he can let his hair down, and be Rich Rod; a coach with a great offense, but no defense. Why, because he is now in the PAC 12, a conference that all seem to have the same game plan. They score big out there, and conversely, give up big too. But that works great for Rich Rod and his Wildcats.

Rodriguez will succeed there because he can be himself. Michigan was as bad a fit as you will ever see in college sports, and it ended as bad as it started. Defense is less than a priority for the former Mountaineer player and coach...a job, he probably should have never left. But he fell prey to something many others have before him...big money and a school with a chance to win big.

In his 1st year in Arizona, they finished 8-5 and beat USC and a good Oklahoma State team along the way. I'm a big fan of college football, and want to see as many competitive colleges as possible. As much as I rooted against Rich Rod up North, I root for him to win in Arizona. His team's are fun to watch, what else matters?
