#33-Clint Bowyer finished second followed by #99-Carl Edwards, #16-Greg Biffle, #27-Paul Menard, #9-Marcos Ambrose, #6-David Ragan [pole sitter], #48-Jimmy Johnson, #88-Dale Earnhardt, Jr., and #22-Kurt Busch. The Ford motor camp looked very strong in this race and the new engine (the FR-9) looks to be a very strong motor. There were 31 lead changes among 13 drivers; 5 cautions for 24 yellow flag laps.

In The Nationwide Series it was a dominating day for #60 Carl Edwards as he wins the “O'Reilly Auto Parts 300” at Texas Motor Speedway. He lead 169 of the 200 laps for his first win of the season and the 30th of his Nationwide career. #22-Brad Keselowsi finished second followed by #33-Paul Menard, #20-Joey Logano, #2-Elliott Sadler, #31-Justin Allgaier, #32-Reed Sorenson, #6-Ricky Stenhouse, Jr., #99-David Reutimann, and #11-Brian Scott. There were 3 cautions for 15 laps and 7 lead changes among 5 leaders.
