Terrelle Pryor

On Dayton Sports Scene Monday, November 15th, I talked about how I was disappointed that Terrelle Pryor hasnt progressed as much as I thought he would. I said how I see a guy like Cameron Newton at Auburn, who is similar in stature and style to Pryor, dominating more than Pryor. Cam Newton has been at 3 schools, under 3 systems, and 3 head coaches, in 3 years...while Terrelle has had 1 school, 1 system, and 1 coach to learn under.
Many calls were very defensive of Pryor. "Its the system", some said! "Its Tressel ball, Mark...you just never learn", say others. All I know is I rarely see Pryor go into a game, and OWN the field. He may look good, he may throw well, but how often does he truely wow you? How often does he, as a 3 year starting Junior, leave you going, "He has come a long way!"...probably not too often.
Im not saying he is bad, or even average...he is very good. I just figured after this much time, and this much teaching, and this much maturing, he would be that much better of a Quarterback. He has been bigger, faster, and stronger in every game he has played in his life. People have started catching up to him, and since his progression has been slower...he has been caught finally.
Whether Jim Tressel takes the reigns off or not, he can still dominate. The system "may" not be set up for him to get Cam Newton's stats, but he can still have Cam Newton's impact...and to me, he doesnt.
