The Story that Never Stops
It was made official yesterday. Terrelle Pryor will no longer be a member of the Ohio State Buckeye Football program. This is the culmination of weeks of investigation and bad press for the team. Pryor has been a central figure in the investigation, losing the first 5 games of his Senior season...a season he will miss totally now.
No can truely be stunned by this news. He was missing half of his Senior season, im shocked he came back in the first place. He should have just left, dispite not being ready. One more year wouldnt fix the NFL's issues with him as a Quarterback. Would half a season make the NFL feel better about his accuracy, his decision making, or his ability to lead other men to victory...I doubt it. His stock is what it is...and that wont change.
Now Pryor's best hope is that a team will take a flyer on him late in a Supplimental Draft...a draft that may or may not even happen. Either way, he will go a round or two below where he would go in a regular draft, just because that's how it works these days. No one even knows whether he is even NFL calibur at any position...QB or WR.
This latest "Outside the Lines" story was the finale. Now Pryor could have been making money selling autographs while a member of the football team. This violation, if true, could be the most damning of them all. This program was out of control due to many people, but Pryor was the face of the success, and now will be the face of the downfall.
