Those Basketball Buckeyes

I had confidence in this team from day one. I dont exactly know why...I guess a feeling. But the Ohio State Buckeyes basketball team has lived up to every expectation, and then some. I just get a feeling about a team, and that is what I got from the Bucks.
What doesnt this team have? In a time when players leave early, some with up to 3 years of eligability remaining, it is near impossible to be a GREAT team. But, they are as good as it gets in 2011. They have experience, which is very rare at major programs. They have shooters, rebounders, guys to handle the ball, an inside game, a bench...everything you could ask for.
The biggest advantage they have is forward Jared Sullinger. If they need a big basket, he is there. If they cant have an empty possesion, he's there. While college basketball is a perimeter game, the interior is where you win championships. Lay-ups never go cold. The reason I think Ohio State beats the Dukes, the Syracuses, and the Kansases is because of that very reason. When they need a score, they can get it...can those other teams? I guess we will see in March.
Thad Matta has seen many great players come and go in his time at Ohio State. Conference Players of the Year, Newcomers of the Year, even National Players of the Year, but this may be his best team. Who would have figured that one?
