Top 10 NFL Franchises of Super Bowl Era

#3 Green Bay Packers: I mean what can you say, it's the Packers...they are about as old as the NFL! They won the 1st 2 Super Bowls, and might have won the 1st 5 if it had started earlier! The team was beyond loaded in the 1960's with HOFers like Bart Starr, Paul Hornung, and Ray Nitschke dominating opponents. The 70's and 80's weren't as kind, but then a kid from Kiln, Mississippi came along, named Brett Favre. With Favre and the great Reggie White, the franchise had a revival, becoming arguably, the most popular franchise in the league. They won a Super Bowl with Favre, and another with his eventual replacement, Aaron Rodgers. Throw in Curly Lambeau, Lambeau Field, Vince Lombardi, the frozen tundra, cheese heads, the Lambeau leap...you have the makings for American sports royalty. 21 former Packers are in the HOF, with many more to come.

4 Super Bowls in 5 trips...18 Playoff seasons...370-324-10 overall
