#1 Dallas Cowboys: Every fanchise has some down years over time, just so happens now is that down time for the Cowboys. But before that, they dominated the NFL like almost none other. Relevant from the beginning, Dallas earned the moniker of "America's Team" because of their incredible road attendance, and fans from coast to coast. A name given to them by NFL Films, as a sign of respect. They had stars like Bob Lilly, Roger Staubach, and Drew Pearson...and a legend at the helm in Tom Landry. The winning continued with the addition of HOFer Tony Dorsett and company. The Hershel Walker trade helped build the foundation for 1990's dominance, and arguably some of the NFL's greatest teams. The triplets; Troy Aikman, Emmit Smith, and Michael Irvin brought 3 more rings back to Valley Ranch. In all, 12 Cowboys are in the HOF for one reason or another, with many more on the horizon. The Cowboys have won more games, been to more playoffs, and have 5 Super Bowls...the proof is in the numbers. They are the NFL's greatest franchise of the Super Bowl era.
5 Super Bowls in 8 trips...30 playoff seasons...423-279-2 overall
