USC losses 2004 BCS Championship

It was a sad day for college sports yesterday. Dont get me wrong, im not a USC fan...just a fan of college football. Yesterday, the USC Trojans were stripped of their 2004 BCS Champioship over the situation surround extra benefits given to Reggie Bush. I have never been a fan of changing histroy, but with this so far after the fact, something had to be done I suppose.

The 2004 BCS title will just remain open now. Oklahoma doesnt garner the award, neither will that undefeated Auburn team with Ronnie Brown and Cadillac Williams. We all saw the USC beatdown of Oklahoma, it just apparently doesnt exist anymore. This marks the latest on a long line of awards and championship the Trojans must do without from one of the best eras in college football.

As I have said many times before, the NCAA is becoming a real issue to these major programs. Texas, Ohio State, etc fund their Athletic Depts through football, among other sports. Without the football revenue, there is no Athletic Dept, for many schools. The more USC's, Miami's, and Ohio State's that pop up and might lose out, the greater the chances that these larger schools leave the NCAA. Time have changed, and so should the landscape of College Football
