I'm still amazed everytime I watch him hit. I saw him in Dayton, wearing Dragon green, and he was good...but never thought he would be this good. Forget good, he is great, like MVP great...as he won in 2010 and might do again in 2012.
Votto might be the best hitter in MLB, regardless of league. He currently leads the NL in many catagories including, BA, hitting with runners in scoring position, total bases, doubles, walks, intentional walks, on-base %, yada yada...you get the point. Is funny to think back to the "struggles" he had in the spring. " I will snap out of it when we head home." no kidding!
He will be a Red for a long time. Not a Blue Jay, a Yankee, a Red Sox, or even a Dodger, but a Red! So enjoy him and know you will get 100% of Joey Votto everyday. Of all the big contracts handed out over the past 12 months, Votto's might yield the biggest return of any. Young, healthy, and driven...keys to anyone's success.
