Wow, what a start to NFL 2012!

The NFL in 2012 could be as exciting a regular season as we have seen in quite a while. On Dayton Sports Scene, I called for record amounts of parody, and it has delivered. More teams, 20, were 1-1 after 2 weeks than any previous year in NFL history. That is parody at its finest, in the most parody driven professional sport in the US. Many things feed into that, including salary caps, shorter careers, and the draft.
We have seen some incredible outcomes through 3 weeks as well. Arizona, who I predicted would be so bad Head Coach Ken Whisenhunt would be out of a job, is 3-0 having just beaten the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles. What about Minnesota over the 49ers on Sunday? Or even Washington over the Saints week 1? Who had New Orleans at 0-3?
We should continue to expect more and more this season. While some of the expected teams, are living up to the hype...Houston, Atlanta, Baltimore...some are not. Most fall into that meaty part of the curve. This makes for a lot of races down the stretch, and exciting football , which we all want!
