Emmitt Smith’s son in attendance for OSU Spring Game – Could EJ become a Buckeye?

NFL Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith was in attendance for the Ohio State Spring Game over the weekend. One would think that the former Florida Gator was just in attendance to visit with another former Gator in Urban Meyer, but that was not the case on Saturday afternoon.

Smith’s son, EJ Smith, is a four star recruit and is considered to be one of the top prospects for the class of 2020. EJ Emith has received a lot of offers from top D1 programs like Ohio State, Georgia, and yes the Florida Gators.

Under Urban Meyer, the Buckeyes have returned to producing some of the top running backs in the country. Ezekiel Elliot was a first round 4th overall draft pick back in 2016 and the Buckeyes currently have two 1,000 yard running backs in Mike Webber and J.K. Dobbins heading into 2018.

Can the son of one of the best running backs in the history of college football and the NFL become a future Buckeye? Only time will tell but he definitely dressed the part Saturday afternoon!
