L.A. Destroyed N.J.



The Los Angeles Kings took home their first Stanley Cup by defeating the New Jersey Devils 6-1. The team winning four games over the Devils two games. In the first period the Kings scored three goals in the last five minutes. In the second period the Kings scored one goal and the Devils also scored one goal, but in the third period the Kings took it home with two more goals. Mid-season there was a turning point for the team when Coach Darryl Sutter, who comes from a legendary hockey family, replaced Coach Terry Murray.
