Bengals Draft Grades: Tuesday Trenches Edition

The Cincinnati Bengals wrapped up their 2023 NFL Draft by selecting eight players, including Myles Murphy in the first round.

They balanced drafting for need and drafting the best player available, and they made some surprising picks.  They selected cornerback Turner in the second round, wide receiver Jones in the fourth, and running back Brown in the fifth.

They also added a punter and a safety in the sixth round and a wide receiver in the seventh. The Bengals are trying to keep their Super Bowl window open for the long term, and they value cornerback and safety more than linebacker and defensive end more than defensive tackle.

They also value wide receiver more than tight end. Overall, the Bengals did a great job of letting the draft come to them and not reaching for needs
