NFL Says “Football is Gay” The NFL says football is all-inclusive.  The league released a powerful commercial on its official Twitter account today with the words “FOOTBALL IS GAY.” The ad goes on to give descriptions of what football “is,” including queer, strong, bisexual and accepting.  The final phrase of the text reads “football is for everyone” and the ad ends with a rainbow version of the NFL Logo.  Las Vegas Raiders Carl Nassib recently publicly came out on social media becoming the first active NFL player to be openly gay.
