Penn Station Athlete Of The Month for December, 2017 – Bailey Wallen

Congratulations to the Penn Station Athlete of the Month for December, 2017, Bailey Wallen of Brookville High School!

Bailey, the son of Mark and Shauna Wallen of Brookville, participates in Football and Track and Field and has a 3.45 GPA.  He loves the Philly Cheesesteak at Penn Station in Englewood and cites The Bible as his favorite book.  Bailey has 3 siblings:  Blake, Brooklyn and Brant.

Noting his role models as his dad and sports star Ezekiel Elliott, he notes his greatest achievement as going 10-0 in football his sophomore year.  According to Bailey, “I have created a great relationship with every player and coach and learned valuable life lessons from each sport.  I always enjoyed watching college and pro football and dreamed to play on those teams, so once I got into third grade and all my friends were signing up for football instead of soccer, I decided to join, too.”

Brookville Coach Mike Hetrick notes “Bailey is a great young man.  He has been a special player for us and has had an outstanding career.  He is the ultimate team player and willing to do whatever it takes to win.  It has been a privilege to coach him the past four years!”

Athletic Director Scott Broerman added “Bailey is an extremely talented individual.  Even with all the awards, he is extremely humble and a great representation of Brookville High School.”
