Tomorrow, September 26th will be the final radio broadcast for Marty Brennaman after 46 years of Reds Baseball and while it is a sad day for many of us, it is not Marty’s funeral… even though it may seem like it this 77 year old has a lot of gas left in the tank and I doubt he slows down one bit…

For me, I grew up with Marty and Joe on the radio and to this day even when I’ve been out of Ohio I still tune in Marty… he is one of the family and he is Ohio!!

Baseball may be all over TV these days but there is still nothing better than to hear Marty paint the picture on radio and entertain the fans with countless left and right turns and harsh truths about the team and the players…

Marty Brennaman is and was the face and the voice of The Cincinnati Reds and he will be missed… but people he isn’t dead and being buried tomorrow… just the next chapter of his story is starting and what a book it should be one day…

As sad a day as it will be I would rather celebrate and thank Marty for keeping me entertained and attached to The Reds for all of these years… Win or lose he was always there and for that I say thank you..
