Wright State drops NCAA Tournament opener vs Tennessee

The Wright State Raiders dream season came to end at the hands of the Tennessee Volunteers 73-47 in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.

Quick Hits:

  • The Raiders were out rebounded 44-32 and gave up 13 offensive rebounds leading to 16 second chance points for the Volunteers
  • The Horizon League freshman of the year Loudon Love picked up three first half fouls and was limited with his effectiveness the rest of the game.
  • Despite foul trouble, Love lead the Raiders in scoring and rebounding as he finished the contest with 12 points and 9 rebounds
  • WSU Freshman Everett Winchester had a big afternoon dropping 11 points while pulling down 3 rebounds
  • Wright State senior Grant Benzinger ends his Raider career with a bad shooting night going 2/16 from the field and 1/9 from behind the three point line
